You Will Learn
- How the modern media works, including on social media.
- How to build strong relationships with the media and why it matters.
- How to create and deliver key messages reporters will use.
- Storytelling: what makes a story newsworthy.
- Interview scenarios, do’s and don’ts, and presentation tips.
Practice & Feedback
- Mock interviews using professional camera equipment; coaching and real-time feedback.
- Digital recordings of practice sessions to review and keep.
Course Format
- Half-day session.
- Includes learning session and 60-minutes of on camera practice.
- Pre-session meetings to confirm topics and customize content.
- Can be adapted for two participants.

Day 2: Application
- Workshop breakout groups develop and present a media pitch.
- On camera interviews using professional equipment to practice skills learned.
- Real-time coaching and peer feedback.
- Digital recordings provided to review and keep.
Course Format
- Two full days.
- Pre-session meetings to confirm topics and customize content.
- Custom add-on days available for larger groups or more practice.
